On the afternoon of September 22, 2026, some 12 skûtsjes and 5 aken will come to Enkhuizen for an event organized by Stichting De Grûn Beweecht . During a special journey across land and water, the foundation draws attention to the soil beneath our feet and to the way we treat land, nature, and the landscape.

Stichting De Grûn Bewegt makes the ground move, literally and figuratively, to raise awareness of the soil and what we do with our land. For a good legacy for our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Therefore, between 2025 and 2030, a lively procession of people will travel across land and water. With a procession of wooden wheelbarrows, authentic ships, and artistic imagination, knowledge about the condition of the soil is retrieved, advanced, and passed on.

On September 22, the ships are expected to arrive in the port of Enkhuizen around 4:00 PM. A great opportunity to view the special fleet up close. The following day, the fleet sets course for Volendam. This is followed by Amsterdam and Lelystad, before returning to Workum on Sunday, September 27.
