Muziek: Live in Drombar: Frank van Bommel

Pianist Frank van Bommel has diversity at his fingertips, with a particular affinity for melodies. But above all, it has to swing: it is danceable. He takes you on a journey through the rich history of jazz with a suitcase full of well-known and lesser-known songs from ‘The Great American Songbook’, as well as songs by totally forgotten composers, which he interprets in a humorous way and enjoys connecting with one another. For the solo concert at the Drombar, he will also make use of the stride piano style; in this style, the pianist plays both the bass and drum parts with the left hand. He also enjoys playing romantic atmospheric songs, especially intended for lovers and romantics. In short: A very varied program where the audience can enjoy the different musical landscapes that will pass before the listener this evening. It promises to be an enjoyable evening with something for everyone.
