Maritiem Evenement Enkhuizen 2026

  • van 31 July 2026 t/m 2 August 2026
  • Friday
  • Saturday
  • Sunday

During the weekend of Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2, approximately 100 historic commercial vessels will come to Enkhuizen. This provides the occasion for a maritime celebration in and around the harbors.

Program:

Friday, July 31 – Arrival of ships and Fleet Review 15:00-16:00

The ships will arrive on Friday in two fleets: one from Amsterdam and one from Friesland. With a considerable number of vessels, we intend to hold a fleet review in the Krabbersgat. We want to show the public on shore a kaleidoscope of our ships and, through a master of ceremonies, inform them about the importance of maritime heritage. All this under the watchful eye of the mayor and other policymakers who can help us demonstrate the importance of maritime heritage for Enkhuizen.

Saturday, Aug 1 – Landje van Top and En Plein Air

The ships are moored in the inner and outer harbors. Several are available for viewing, and skippers demonstrate (traditional) maritime crafts. On the small land at Top, there is music, eel smoking, children’s games, and more.

The En Plein Air festival takes place simultaneously. At the end of the day, the result can be seen on the association ship “Terra Nova” in the inner harbor.

Sunday, August 2 – Sailing Race and Accordion Festival

We will be holding a sailing trip off the coast with approximately 20 sailing cargo ships. Other vessels are expected to sail along, allowing spectators to follow the race.

Simultaneously, the Accordion Festival takes place around the harbors and on the ships.

Monday, Aug 3 – Ships depart

In the (early) morning, the ships depart from Enkhuizen again under their own power.
