After the success of the Lichtjesloop Den Helder, this special walking event is coming to Enkhuizen for the first time in 2026. On Friday, November 6, 2026, the historic city centre of Enkhuizen will also turn into the backdrop for an atmospheric evening walk full of light, music, and conviviality.

As soon as night falls, walkers will move through the city with lights, glow sticks, and other illuminated accessories. Together, they will form a long, illuminated ribbon through the streets of Enkhuizen. It is precisely because the participants bring their own light that the unique atmosphere that makes the Lichtjesloop so recognisable is created.

With distances of 2.5, 5, and 10 kilometres, the Lichtjesloop is accessible to young and old. Whether you are participating with family, friends, colleagues, or just by yourself: everyone can enjoy the walk and the special atmosphere along the way at their own pace. It is not about speed, but about walking together, having fun, and being part of the illuminated procession that moves through Enkhuizen.

Along the route, music, entertainment, and surprising acts will provide an extra experience. In doing so, local associations, entrepreneurs, volunteers, and organisations are working together to make the first edition in Enkhuizen an atmospheric event.

The Lichtjesloop is more than just a walk. It is an evening on which participants light up the city together and where residents, visitors, and local parties work together to ensure an event by and for Enkhuizen.
