Following the success of the Lichtjesloop Den Helder, this special walking event is coming to Enkhuizen for the first time in 2026. On Friday, November 6, 2026, the historic city center of Enkhuizen will also transform into the setting for an atmospheric evening walk full of light, music, and conviviality.

As soon as evening falls, walkers with lights, glowsticks, and other illuminated accessories make their way through the city. Together, they form a long, illuminated chain through the streets of Enkhuizen. It is precisely because the participants bring their own lights that the unique atmosphere is created that makes the Lichtjesloop so recognizable.

With distances of 2.5, 5, and 10 kilometers, the Lichtjesloop is accessible to young and old. Whether you participate with family, friends, colleagues, or simply on your own: everyone can enjoy the walk and the special atmosphere along the way at their own pace. It is not about speed, but about walking together, having fun, and being part of the illuminated procession winding through Enkhuizen.

Along the route, music, entertainment, and surprising acts provide an enhanced experience. Local associations, entrepreneurs, volunteers, and organizations are collaborating to make the first edition in Enkhuizen an atmospheric event.

The Lichtjesloop is more than just a walk. It is an evening where participants light up the city together, and where residents, visitors, and local parties come together to create an event by and for Enkhuizen.
