Ricciotti Ensemble

On October 21, the Ricciotti Ensemble is coming to Enkhuizen.

Under the motto ‘everywhere and for everyone’, the ensemble has been playing live symphonic music at home and abroad for over fifty years. The 43-member orchestra, consisting of young musicians between the ages of eighteen and thirty, brings a diverse collection of music to as many people as possible who normally have little or no access to it. The Ricciotti Ensemble is an old acquaintance of Enkhuizen. For years, the Ensemble—which naturally changed in composition—performed at the Drommedaris, where they even slept, ate, and rehearsed. Highly recommended for anyone who missed them in the past or for those who know all too well the pleasure a performance brings.

Two weeks before the Ricciotti visits Enkhuizen, members of the ensemble give a workshop at several primary schools where the children also get to make their own instruments. Together with the Ricciotti, the pupils give a concert in the Zuiderkerk on the morning of October 21st.

The evening concert takes place in the Zuiderkerk and is dedicated to ‘Sustainability’.

After the concert, the hat will be passed around.
