Experience the Zuiderzee village like you’ve never seen it before! On Saturday, October 17 and 24, hundreds of storm lanterns illuminate the streets and houses. Enjoy the old-fashioned Dutch fair, atmospheric music, an interactive circus, and surprising entertainment during a special evening for young and old.

As soon as evening falls, the Zuiderzee village takes on a completely different atmosphere. Stroll through the illuminated streets, listen to organist Klaas Boonstra on Urk, encounter the itinerant organ grinder along the way, or take a ride on the traditional flat-bottomed boat.

Fairground and circus fun

Twirl, sway, and spin along at the atmospherically lit Old Dutch fair. And this year, you can even enter the ring yourself! During the Open Circus Ring, you can try out various circus arts, from juggling and diabolo to tightrope walking and unicycling. Additionally, on October 17, there is a nostalgic flea theatre. Marvel at the miniature spectacle in which fleas drive around in small cars, jump off a diving board, and are even shot out of a cannon.

Spectacular finale

Be sure to stay until the end, because the evening closes with a spectacular flyboard show on the water, this year entirely in a fairground atmosphere!
