Museumstoomtram Hoorn-Medemblik
The ship “Friesland” sails between Enkhuizen and Medemblik along the beautiful coast of West Friesland. Between Medemblik and Hoorn you ride the steam tram through the countryside past tulip fields and historic station buildings.
On the Hoorn museum grounds you will discover the story about the steam tram in the Netherlands. After arriving at the attractive tram station, you will visit the exhibition De Tijdlijn, a working signal box and the Bello Atelier in the workshop.
New, fun for kids and interactive
The new SpoorTuin at the Museum Steam Tram in Hoorn was opened in May 2023. In the SpoorTuin, children discover the operation of rails, trains and trams as a means of transport in an educational game. In the middle of a super model railway layout, goods are transported over the rails between ‘Hoorn’ and ‘Medemblik’. A nice combination before or after a trip with the Museum Steam Tram!
