Embark on the Most Exciting Time Travel with the Steam Tram and Boat during the autumn holidays! Hop aboard and travel to Hoorn, Medemblik, and Enkhuizen! Take the Steam Safari: discover the coal fire on the locomotive and dress up as a traveler from 100 years ago. This is possible daily except Mondays between Hoorn, Medemblik, and Enkhuizen. The Museum Steam Tram offers an autumn holiday full of travel experiences for the youngest visitors!

Timetable

Daily from Tuesday, October 13 to Sunday, October 18, there are various travel options:

By boat from Enkhuizen to Medemblik and by steam tram from Medemblik to Hoorn;

By steam tram from Hoorn to Medemblik and by boat from Medemblik to Enkhuizen;

Return or one-way trip by steam tram or boat;

A short journey by NS between Hoorn and Enkhuizen completes the day trip through the Historic Triangle.

Exploration tour in Hoorn

Experience the museum route at Tram Station Hoorn before or after the steam tram ride! At our station and in our workshop, the story of the steam tram in the Netherlands is told. On a discovery tour through the locomotive depot, you can see the steam tram locomotives, including the oldest steam tram in the Netherlands and the Tram voor Bello, which we are restoring here down to the last plank!

On a Steam Safari

Along the way, participate in the Steam Safari scavenger hunt. You will receive a FREE suitcase full of fun activities. For example, dress up as a traveler from 100 years ago, or help the worker load the goods into the steam tram. At one of the stations, don’t forget to visit the impressive steam locomotive for a look at the coal fire.
