Heleen van ‘t Zand-de Vlas from Alkmaar (76) has created a new series of twelve paintings especially for this exhibition, entitled “The Hands and Feet of Jesus”. They depict moments from His life: who He is, what He does and how He shapes, encourages and uses us in the world. The exhibition has been supplemented with older work around the same theme.
She was active as a volunteer for many years, driven by her faith in God. Now she is taking things easier and has more time for her painting. She describes herself as someone who enjoys a challenge: she loves experimenting with colors and fully developing an idea on the canvas.
Heleen hopes that the exhibition will inspire visitors and encourage reflection.
