The Future Conducts: Maestro Junior Enkhuizen 2026!

On Sunday, November 22, 2026, De Nieuwe Doelen in Enkhuizen will transform into a stage filled with young talent, music, and enthusiasm. During Maestro Junior Enkhuizen, seven pupils from all primary schools in the municipality will take the spotlight as conductors of the Music Stars training orchestra of the Royal Municipal Music Corps Enkhuizen. Following the great success of the Maestro project for adults, it is now the youth’s turn. Under the guidance of a professional conductor, the young participants will learn the tricks of the trade. During a festive concert, they will demonstrate what they have learned by conducting the orchestra live. Film footage, an expert jury, and an atmospheric presentation make this afternoon a unique experience for young and old.

Maestro Junior is about much more than just music. The project stimulates talent development, creativity, and self-confidence, and shows how music connects people. Expect an afternoon full of fun, surprising performances, and proud family members, teachers, and residents enjoying the enthusiasm of the young Maestros together.
