Did you know that the Netherlands has the largest still sailing historical fleet in the world? These more than 400 authentic ships are of great cultural-historical value. Many ships have been saved from demolition, restored and made suitable to sail with passengers. This is how skippers keep these old cargo ships sailing.
Every year, the Dutch Sailing Fleet takes more than a hundred thousand guests to the Markermeer, the IJsselmeer, the Wadden and other seas. This is a sustainable way to get to places you can hardly get to otherwise and enjoy nature, tranquility and salty sea air.

Holland Sail is a booking office for sailing passenger ships sailing on the Wadden, IJsselmeer and Frisian lakes. The fleet consists of 25 ships, such as clippers and tjalks.

The Windbruid is a traditional sailing ship where you can stay overnight during the winter months (November 1 to March 31). You will find the ship in the Buitenhaven of Enkhuizen. The Windbruid has an authentic appearance, but inside it is equipped with all modern conveniences.
