Staverse Poortje
In the sea wall on the Wierdijk is the frame, rebuilt in 1833, of a gate that used to be the connection between the dock and the city. The shape of the gate was followed during the rebuild to the former condition that occurs, among other things, on an 18th century drawing of the O.I. House, which is kept in the Museum on the Town Hall. A natural stone crown, XVII, consists of a swinging broken fronton in which the weapon of Enkhuizen is located.
